GNA University launched GBS – GNA Business School

 Phagwara June 14 (Ashok Sharma) GNA University, Phagwara announced the launch of GBS - GNA Business School, aimed at broadening its reach and to equip students with the dynamic business scenario.Launching the program the Chief Guest, Mr. Kamal Wadhera, Sr Vice President, TCY Learning Solutions Pvt. Ltd, Ludhiana, CEO congratulated Mr. Gurdeep Singh Sihra, Pro Chancellor, GNA University and Dr. Prem Kumar, Vice Chancellor, GNA University and the Faculty of Business Studies. Mr. Gurdeep Singh Sihra said the School has created an innovative platform to support the delivery of distinctive business-focused offerings. He added that the GBS launch marks an important milestone in our ongoing efforts to educate leaders who make a difference in the world. He also appreciated the efforts of Faculty of Business Studies for establishing such a unique program in Northern India.Dr. Prem kumar said that GBS will provide a powerful channel for communicating ideas and engaging students with new and wider audiences, complementing the work we do through GNA Industries. He stressed that there was a great need to start such skill based program for employability. He further stated that GBS offers unique and widest range of specializations like E-Commerce, Data Analytics Management, Agri-Business Management, Banking and Risk Management, Hospitality Management, International Business Management, Marketing and Financial Management, Startups and many more enabling graduates to pursue their passion with deep understanding of chosen sector. The two-year MBA Program is intensive, rigorous and life transforming.Mr. Kamal Wadhera emphasized on the need of professional business schools which may bridge the gap between academia and industry. He said that GBS will be a rigorous program designed for serious and committed learners with the guidance of Dr Prem Kumar as a strong and committed leader.Mr. Sunil Sarad, Registrar, GNA University, said that the infrastructure of GNA University is adequate to meet the International standards. Also, the corporate engagement division of University has tie-ups with leading companies in India. He assured the quality training of students. Also, the department has internationally experienced faculty to foster the gap between Industry expectations and training outputs. The students will be taught through case method of teaching and participant-centered learning. The faculty wants students to be active learners, thinking through and solve real-world problems.
